Xiaohua Ye graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from Henan University in 2009. She had her P.D. training in Microbiology in the Shanghai Institute of Immunology and Infection (the previous Institute Pasteur of Shanghai), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014, where she also had her first Postdoc training. In April 2017, Xiaohua started her second Postdoc training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and subsequently worked as an instructor. In August 2022, Xiaohua joined Pro. Ren Sun’s Lab at Westlake University as a research associate professor and worked until now.
Before joining Sun Lab, her research mainly focused on the development and evaluation of novel vaccines and potent neutralizing antibodies against infectious diseases caused by enterovirus and herpesvirus. Now she has two major research directions, 1) Development of a high-throughput system for profiling antigen specificities of T cells; 2) Development of antibody/nanobody based novel therapeutics and diagnostics for important diseases.
Besides work, Xiaohua enjoys participating in various sport activities including roller/blade skating, jogging, hiking, Ping-Pong and so on. But her favorite sport is skating.
